About Unca Studio
What is Unca Studio?
Unca Studio is a handmade jewelry and accessories brand based in Transylvania, Romania. We create wearable pieces - brooches, bracelets, rings, necklaces, earrings, and beyond - using authentic vintage watch components set in resin or assembled by hand. Our tagline says it best: time, reimagined.
Are your pieces really made from real watch parts?
Yes. Every gear, cog, pallet lever, and watch hand you see is an authentic vintage component sourced from real mechanical watches, not a printed or molded imitation.
One-of-a-kind vs. Small-batch
What's the difference?
Some of our pieces are one-of-a-kind: the resin swirl or the arrangement of gears is unrepeatable, so once it's gone, it's gone. Others are made in small batches, meaning each piece is finished individually by hand, so subtle variations in tone and shine are part of its character rather than a flaw.
Where can I tell which one I'm buying?
Every product description states clearly whether the piece is one-of-a-kind or small-batch.
Materials & Care
What is each piece made of?
Our jewelry combines genuine vintage watch components with UV resin, set in brass or stainless steel findings, depending on the collection.
Are all the metal components genuine watch parts?
At the heart of Unca Studio are authentic vintage watch components - gears, cogs, pallet levers, and watch hands salvaged from real mechanical watches. This is what defines our work. As an occasional experiment, a small number of pieces incorporate other artisanal decorative elements instead, such as larger gears not sourced from watches, to explore new directions in the steampunk aesthetic.
How do I take care of my piece?
Avoid prolonged exposure to water, direct sunlight, and perfumes or lotions, as these can affect both the resin finish and the metal components. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear.
Is the jewelry hypoallergenic?
Pieces made with stainless steel findings are generally suitable for sensitive skin. Please check each product's material details before purchasing.
Ordering & Customization
Do you only make what's listed on the site?
Not at all. Beyond the categories you see in our menu, we also create accessories such as hair clips, cufflinks, and other wearable pieces built around vintage watch components. If you have something specific in mind, reach out - it may already be something we can make.
Can I request a custom piece?
Absolutely, custom orders are something we genuinely love working on. Whether you have a color palette in mind, a specific type of accessory, or a sentimental idea you'd like turned into a wearable piece, contact us at orders@unca.studio and we'll talk through what's possible with the vintage components currently available.
Why do some pieces have hand-painted backgrounds?
Certain designs feature hand-painted resin backgrounds for added depth and color. This is always noted in the product title and description.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship within Romania only.
How long does delivery take?

Can I return a piece?
Yes, we offer a 14-day return policy in accordance with EU and Romanian consumer protection law. Custom-made or personalized pieces are excluded. See our full Return Policy for details.
